The beautiful 4 color upholstery

This 60+ mph “Ferrari on the water”
has a very roomy interior since it doesn't have a center
motor, the rear seat turns into a Sundeck
that when used also leaves plenty of room for 2 adults
to sleep comfortably if you put the judges seats and a
cooler up on the rear seat (very functional).
It also comes with:
a built-in cooler, in-floor storage locker, plenty of
storage space and a JVC marine CD player.
This is a very versatile boat.
The trailer is a black
1999 Elete with
chrome rims and
burgundy pin
striping to match the boat. It has four new tires
(including 2 mounted spares). The trailer axles
have brackets ready for trailer brakes to be mounted.
All trailer lights new.
The
hull, below waterline and on the bottom looks brand new
with zero
scratches.
The boat has always been covered and stored indoors
properly during winter and never left in the
water.
The reason for selling is that it's not used enough,
it's free and clear with no lien holders and the registration is good through 09.
If your considering a slalom or barefooter, look no
further. If your looking for a really fun boat to drive
that holds more people than a conventional towboat and
goes WAY faster, look no further. If
your looking for a state of the art wakeboard boat, you
could find better.
I'm the second owner and I know the first owner was
as meticulous as I have been. The only thing I
might add would be a tower....maybe. If you look at the
boat you'll see that both of us owners have taken good
care of it, if there are any specific areas anyone would
like to see I can take some close up pics and email them
to you.
This is somewhat of a rare boat since most
people don't sell them once they find one. When I
wanted a ski boat only a Malibu
Flightcraft would do and it took me 6
months to find this one on the Internet.
This boat came from PA, and I had it shipped on a semi
in Sept 03. If you need to have it shipped
anywhere I live 5 miles from Newport Beach, CA and can
take it to a local boat yard to have the boat and
trailer lifted via a sling onto a truck.
Remember, if your considering buying or bidding on this
rare discontinued style boat and want to think a day or
two;
there could be someone out there who looked at it
yesterday and was going to make an offer today.

"EXCERPT from WaterSkiMag.com"
In skiing circles where barefoot is king, the
Flightcraft is considered one of the royal steeds. This
aggressively styled, low-profile outboard specialist is
described by Malibu as a boat for those with a
'demand-big-fun, take-no-prisoners,
accept-no-compromises' outlook on life. But from the
looks of things, Malibu also knows that even folks who
are 'all about attitude' need a little extra room and
comfort from time to time.
In the world of high-end competitive barefooting, the
Flightcraft is as real as it gets. But this doesn't mean
it is a stripped-out, close-quarters tow boat that must
be put away as soon as the footing run is done.
Forget for a moment that this is a tournament-ready
specialty boat. Look instead at the spacious,
uncluttered cockpit, the two-person observer's seat and
the spacious aft lounge. Check out the bow storage
locker and look behind the rear seat. Now slide into the
contoured driver's seat, mash the throttle forward and
feel the rush of 200 horses as the speedo climbs toward
60.
If you were in the market for an outboard-powered sport
boat, you'd look for something with the precise
handling, aggressive acceleration and sleek lines of the
Flightcraft. You'd also want the quality and longevity
provided by Malibu's all-glass construction, which
includes the Compositech floor system and unitized hull
and deck.
For most buyers, however, the added bonuses of comfort,
room and styling will enhance but not replace the basic
mission of this boat, which is pulling people without
skis across the water. In this department, the
Flightcraft has few rivals.
At footing speeds, wakes are low, crisp and symmetrical.
The table has minimal turbulence and no toe-catching
surprises. Once outside the wakes, you will find smooth
water in the trough with a slight outside lip to help
keep you centered.
At the other end of the tow rope, the driver gets plenty
of power to pull deepwater starts and make mid-run
corrections. Despite the boat's relatively low profile,
the driver also enjoys a good 360-degree view of the
water and reaps the benefits of a full-height
windshield.
The tall center-mounted pylon features Malibu's patented
swiveling head and works in conjunction with a
stainless-steel engine guard to keep the rope free of
entanglements and above the engine during a run. For
competitive use, a pair of swiveling bucket seats can be
added to give an entire contingent of judges an
unobstructed rear view.
Powered by a Mercury 200 EFI with a 19-inch Quicksilver
prop, the Flightcraft reached 60 while also turning in a
6.25-second acceleration run. You could prop the boat
for more top end or faster hole-shot, but in our opinion
the as-is factory propping provides the optimum
combination of speed and acceleration needed for
barefooting or skiing.
If chasing the buoys is your number-one priority, you'll
probably look to an inboard. But if you are a footer who
crosses over - particularly into slalom - the
Flightcraft may have something good in store for you.
Slalom wakes are low, with less of the typical outboard
hardness than expected, and spray is not a factor.
